Primary Accountability

The Professional Staff Recruiter is responsible for managing the recruitment of all professional staff.  

Description of Primary Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for managing professional staff recruitment activities.
    1. Serves as a primary contact for applicants seeking employment for specialized positions.
    2. Responsible for monitoring and achieving department goals and metrics for functional areas as assigned. 
    3. Developing recommendations for updating workflows and policies. 
    4. Manages the logistics of the interview of prospective candidates, including itineraries, travel, lodging, etc.
    5. Performs searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, recruiting firms, and employee referrals.
    6. Conducts community tours with prospective candidates.
    7. Keeps abreast of community employment opportunities and the local school districts for prospective candidate families seeking additional information.
    8. Manages and ensures all staff positions are posted and updated on various sources as applicable (FHCN website, National Health Service Corps, California Department of Health Services, Indeed, LinkedIn etc.). 
    9. Recommends advertising and outreach strategies for Recruitment. 
  2. Responsible for managing the New Provider Orientation Program.
  3. Keeps abreast of Federal and State loan repayment options for the organization and actively assists staff in applying for the programs.
    1. Researches new loan options.
    2. Conducts verifications and on-site reviews.
  4. Responsible for managing all duties related to employment visas.
    1. Ensures J1 Waivers, H1-B, Perm Processing, Department of Labor Requirements (Prevailing wages) and USCIS rules, and regulations are met.
  5. Manages locum tenens coverage.
    1. Negotiates contracts for final approval.
  6. Develops and maintains working relationships with residency programs, medical/dental schools, FNP/PA training programs, recruiting firms, and other external pipeline programs.
    1. Attends job fairs and training program visits.
  7. Manages the student rotation process.
    1. Facilitates contracts with residency, training programs and schools.
    2. Ensures preceptors are assigned.
    3. Serves as liaison with residency programs and schools.
  8. Responsible for working with the marketing department to help develop marketing campaigns, outreach strategies, and marketing materials. 
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Description of Primary Attributes

Professional & Technical Knowledge:

  1. Possesses specific advanced knowledge and skills, including written and verbal communication skills, computational, computer and technical skills, and mathematical knowledge frequently acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree program with a recognized major or three years of comparable experience; 
  2. Performance of job duties and responsibilities requires the equivalent of polished general or technical skills, typically acquired with or without a specific major or trade.         
  3. Job duties require a deep understanding of the trade/profession.

Technical Skills:

  1. Ability to prepare more complex documents in Microsoft Word, including creating tables, charts, graphs and other elements.
  2. Ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, including the use of formulas and other standard spreadsheet elements. 
  3. Ability to develop sophisticated presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the use of embedded objects, transitions and other elements. 

License and Certifications: Valid CA driver’s license.

Communications Skills:

  1. Job duties require the employee to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, their opinions and extrapolations of information they collect and synthesize/analyze.
  2. Responsible for the resolution of conflicts that may arise because of disagreements between employees, between employees and customers/clients, or with the public, other legal entities or governmental authorities.
  3. Compiles, analyzes and prepares information in an effective written form, including correspondence, reports, articles or other documentation.
  4. Effectively conveys technical information to non-technical audiences.

Pay Scale:

Min Salary Rate: $68,640.00
Max Salary Rate: $108,967.10
